Who are Aquarius IT & Software Design?
In the beginning...
Joy has been a Software Developer in the Computer Industry for over 25 years. She started out working on an IBM System 36. A few years later she progressed onto an IBM System 38, before subsequently moving onto an IBM AS/400 using RPG IV, RPG ILE, and SQL.
The Journey Continues…
As a Software Developer it is important to keep up with changes in the industry. When the internet became more and more widespread, the focus became more on internet based applications, rather than system based. Therefore, she decided to diversify and trained on the internet based development tool ASP.net, combined with the programming language C#. Additionally she also decided to train in WordPress , a Content Management System. By doing so it enabled her not only to go on to create websites, but also develop internet based applications to compliment a website. However, she still likes to be involved in developing applications that based on an IBM AS/400 system, whenever she can. In 2014, she started Aquarius IT & Software Design, as she wanted to expand her business further, and utilise her additional skills to a greater extent.

Joy has worked in many different parts of the UK, as well as in several different EU countries, so she is not averse to traveling to different places whenever her work requires it. She enjoys travelling and discovering new places, together with meeting new people, in the course of her work.

Joy is a dedicated, and hard-working person, who is passionate about providing an efficient, and professional service to her customers. Irrespective of the size of task in hand, ranging from the smallest of projects to the biggest. She enjoys the challenges that each requirement brings, but also feels that it is important to offer quality software solutions tailored to help business streamline their processes.

As the founder and heart of the business, Joy is a driven and hard working individual with over 25 years of IT and software design experience. Before she foundered Aquarius in 2014, Joy had enjoyed a successful career as an agency and sub-contracted software developer, providing services to many companies, including a large international electronics corporation.
